While offshore big game fishing doesn't at first seem to be dangerous, it is! As the angler closes that distance between the fish and him or herself, both crew and anglers can be pulled from the boat and it ends tragically on too many occasions. There are too many of my angler friends that fish off shore alone and in poor conditions.
